Sathyan has become a household name, thanks to the impact of his role in 'Nanban'. The hero-turned-comedian, who impressed everyone as 'sincere student' Srivathsan in the Shankar-directed Vijay starrer, is sharing the screen space with the Ilayathalapathy again! "I play an important role in Thupaki. It is a delight to work with Vijay again. My thanks to director AR Murugadoss and the Ilayathalapathy," says the actor, who earlier played Vijay's friend 'Vettaikaran'. "Though I am playing Vijay's friend in Thupaki once again, the role is totally different from the ones I did in the past. And I signed this film much before Nanban hit the screens," says Sathyan, who is a close relative to Sathyaraj. "In fact, when I was shooting for Nanban, the associate producers of Thupaki watched me performing on the sets and recommended my name to Murugadoss.
