New Delhi, April 6 : Two more officials of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) were arrested here for helping pilots procure commercial pilot licences, Delhi Police sources said Wednesday.
M.J. Bhattacharya and Mohammed K. Ansari were arrested Tuesday night as part of the continuing probe into the fake pilot licence scandal.
They were arrested for forging documents to enable pilots who had failed in a subject to pass, the sources added.
With this, a total of 13 people, including three DGCA employees, have been held. Two pilots were arrested from Ahmedabad by the Delhi Police Monday.
DGCA sources told IANS that a scrutiny of licences of 3,000-4,000 pilots was on and more arrests were likely.
