Mumbai, Apr 14 : Kingpin of the multi-crore fake stamp paper case Abdul Karim Telgi has written a letter to the special CBI court requesting it to expedite proceedings in all the pending cases against him here.
The letter comes after the prosecution moved an application to defer judgement against Telgi till charges are framed against a recently arrested accused Imam Chaudhary, who was apprehended from the international airport here last month.
"We had moved an application in the court seeking deferment in the judgement till charges are framed against Imam Chaudhary," Special CBI prosecutor Pradeep Gharat said.
Telgi, in his letter, also requested special CBI judge Chitra Bedi to hear the full case before her transfer.
"The judge''s transfer is due next month but Telgi, in his letter, has requested her to complete the proceedings of his case before going," Gharat said.
