New Delhi, Apr 16 (: The Delhi Government today asked all its departments named in the Shunglu Committee report to file their response pertaining to the allegations of irregularities brought by the panel.
Chief Secretary P K Tripathi this evening held a meeting of top officials of various departments and asked them to submit their response soon.
Senior officials, including Principal Secretary, PWD, Nutan Guha Biswas, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Keshab Chandra and Delhi Jal Board CEO Ramesh Negi attended the meeting, official sources said.
The Prime Minister''s Office earlier this month had referred the Shunglu Committee findings on alleged irregularities by certain departments of the Delhi government to the Home Ministry for further action.
The Home Ministry is likely to seek reply from Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and other agencies concerned, which were held responsible by the panel for lack of oversight and decisions that led to cost escalation in the last year''s Commonwealth Games.
The administration of Delhi, being a Union Territory, comes under the control of Home Ministry.
Rejecting the Shunglu Committee report, the Delhi government had termed the findings as a "product of paranoia" which is "full of contradictions" and "anomalies".
