New Delhi, Mar 14 : Sixty-one pirates have been captured and thirteen hostages rescued from a hijacked pirate mother vessel 600 nautical miles west of the Indian coast in the Arabian Sea on Monday.
The pirate mother vessel has been identified as Vega-5.
The capture followed an operation launched by the by Navy's INS Khukri.
The rescued sailors and pirates are being brought to Mumbai and Kochi.
