New Delhi, Jan 25 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress party of demoralising security agencies dealing with terror cases.
BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said that the constant attacks by senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, who is dubbed as 'spokesperson of Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi', had worsened the situation.
Citing Singh's comments on 2008 Batla House encounter as fake, he said such statements demoralise the security agencies.Time and again he (Digvijay Singh) attacks the police and security agencies. After all Digvijay Singh is 'Her Majesty's Voice'. He articulates the views of Sonia. He is the spokesperson of the Congress Party chief. It means the due to politics played by the Congress Party's government the moral of security forces has scaled down," said Javadekar.
Taking a dig at Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Javadekar said nine attacks took place since Chidambaram took over as Home Minister and not a single case had been solved.
"After nine attacks not a single terror case has been solved. So this is the worst failure of Chidambaram. He owes an explanation to the nation," added Javadekar.
Javadekar also sought to know Sonia Gandhi's view on religious conversion in of Jammu and Kashmir after Minister of New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah, who also heads the National Conference spoke against it.
"I want to ask two questions. When Vishwa Hindu Parishad, raise the similar issues in Jharkhand and Orissa then it is wrong and when Farooq Abdullah says it is right. What kind of justice is this? When they say it is right but when other says it is wrong. We want to ask Sonia Gandhi what is her opinion on the conversion in Jammu and Kashmir," said Javadekar.
